Chakra Yoga is an asana class for students with basic knowledge of yoga and asanas who have a desire to expand their understanding of yoga and its effects on both the physical and energetic bodies. In the session you learn the 7 major chakras and the energies associated with each. We practice asanas that are related to each chakras for the purpose of helping balance the energetic body. Mudras, mantras and pranayama for specific chakras are also practiced. The first 15 minutes of each 1½ hour class is spent learning about chakra energy and issues. Asana practice follows. Handouts are provided, as appropriate, for each class.
